During his first year, president Obama appointed Dr. Steven Chu as the 12th Secretary of Energy, won a Nobel Peace prize, addressed threats, improved the relationship between the U.S and Venezuela, tried to open dialogue with the Muslim world, and made plans to move the troops from Iraq to Afghanistan among other things. Concerning the other issues, I think he just lacks support because it's impossible to please everyone.
With all the problems that this world has, I think he did okay for his first year...
